SNP’s highly trained and motivated staff have served as an integral part of the transport and infrastructure system over the past 15 years. During this time we have delivered tailored security solutions to numerous clients within the sector.
“To this day the biggest challenge our clients face in the transport and infrastructure industry is vandalism to assets, including taxis, trains, buses, buildings, train stations and bus interchanges,” commented Tom Roche, SNP Managing Director.
To tackle vandalism within the industry SNP introduced a continuous improvement plan that involved its ‘detection K-9’s– dogs that are specifically trained to pick up the scent of an intruder outside a perimeter fence line and then lead the handler to the suspected breach.
SNP has a number of canine’s that have received a service Medal for protecting a government asset by the Australian Defence Force Trackers & War Dogs Association.
“The aim of the service is to minimise the risk of damage to the client’s assets. These systems are a great example of how we invest heavily in our people and technology to deliver integrated security solutions,” continued Roche.
Since the implementation of the new security solutions, SNP has seen an 85% decrease in vandalism, recording a drop from an average of 27 to just four incidents per week on SNP protected sites.
“SNP Security is committed to safety and the customer experience. We will continue to work with our Transport & Infrastructure clients to implement continuous improvement plans to ensure we safeguard the client’s assets, provide their employees and customers with a safer environment and enhance the customer experience,” Roche concluded.
