Airport Safety Week is an industry led initiative which aims to enhance safety awareness amongst airport employees. The campaign is a collaboration between the Australian Airports Association (AAA) and the NZ Airports Association (NZ Airports) and runs for one week in October each year.
By taking part, employees demonstrate to their co-workers, the community and the travelling public their commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all airport users.
This year, SNP supported the campaign nationally by distributing educational safety packs to our aviation employees in order to promote a strong safety culture.
Inside, employees found information on key areas of focus:
- Near Miss Reporting
- Fatigue Management
- Radiation Exposure
In light of Airport Safety Week, SNP also exhibited at Sydney Airport’s very first safety expo. The theme this year was One Airport, One Team. Visitors to our stall took part in interactive activities to promote fatigue management and raise safety awareness.
At SNP, we are committed to promoting safe work environments as a shared priority among the entire airport community. We’d like to thank our aviation employees for their ongoing commitment to providing a safe environment for all airport users.
