Canberra Monitoring connected to Grade A1
10 Nov 2008
Leading Australian security firm, SNP Security, will connect its Canberra customers to its new regional headquarters housing the latest hi-tech Grade A1 monitoring centre from November.
SNP Security Managing Director, Tom Roche, says SNP Security is committed to a safer ACT community and part of that commitment is to link Canberra to the new monitoring centre in Sydney.
“We are now in a position to provide Canberra residents and businesses local security patrols supported by the highest level service and technology the industry can supply.
“SNP will be in a position to supply Canberra businesses and residents more than has ever been provided before. Our local security teams and employees, in conjunction with this innovative technological support, will result in faster response times and greater efficiency in the tracking of alarms,” says Roche.
Costing in excess of $10 million dollars, the new SNP Headquarters monitoring centre has surpassed the highest Grade A1 standard possible in Australia as rated by the Australian Security Industry Association Ltd (ASIAL). Built partially underground and featuring its own independent power generator, the monitoring centre has been designed to be completely operational and self-sufficient for up to 12 days at a time. Within the building, external seismic alarms detect any possible attack, triggering full emergency alerts and diverting all alarm events to a second Grade A1 Monitoring Centre, located in Newcastle.
“Our new headquarters have been built to provide the highest level of security possible for our clients. SNP has customers in industry sectors ranging from banking institutions, international and local airports, retail chains, to medical prison facilities and even national landmarks,” says Roche.
A Company renowned for its community support and spirit, SNP Security is already a proud local sponsor of the Royal Canberra Show Society, Canberra Stadium, the Tuggeranong Hawks Football Club, the ACT Brumbies and Gungahlin Eagles Rugby Union, having contributed over $82,000 to these organisations in the past year alone.
